 Woodwalk Concerts

Announcing the 2011 Jeanne Kuhns’ Woodwalk Concert Series!

Jeanne Kuhns' Woodwalk Concert Series kicks off 2011 with Small Potatoes, a Chicago based duo performing music from Celtic to cowboy, and includes the darkly beautiful vocals, piano, and stunning lyrical expertise of Krista Detor, the New Orleans Gothic Musical Gumbo of Grayson Capps, and Door County’s Piano Man: Eli Mattson. The series finishes up with “Buckets of Rain,” an amazing five-show review of Bob Dylan Music performed by Katie Dahl, Jeanne Kuhns, Eric Lewis and Tommy Burroughs and friends. And that's only the beginning...

This year's line up is packed with musical diversity and excellence: along the way find Gloria Attoun’s original roots style music, The Delta Jets awesome blues, Lost Mothra's jazzy folk/blues blend, and on-fire bluegrass with Eric Lewis and Tommy Burroughs. Throw in an unbelievable line-up for the annual Wise Women show, featuring Deb Lader and Sue Demel (Sons of the Never Wrong), Jenny Bienemann, and Jeanne Kuhns, and the summer is cooking. Robin Bienemann also graces the Woodwalk stage with wickedly funny songs and out-there, killer guitar for his CD release concert! Don't miss Chris Irwin, back with his Tennessee honeyed voice and folksy bluegrass style; and with folk icons Anne Hills and Michael Smith (who wrote 'The Dutchman'), 2011 promises to be the best season yet! Also returning is Dr. Roger Kuhns for the second annual Science Night, joined by local musicians who will perform between short presentations on sustainability.

Come early and bring a picnic and a bottle of wine to enjoy on the back terrace, and peruse the fine art of Margaret Lockwood and 47 other regional artists. Beer and soda, and ice cream treats will be available for purchase as well.

Woodwalk Gallery and Events Barn is located south of Egg Harbor, one mile off Hwy 42 at 6746 Cty G. Concerts are Fridays starting June 17th, except for two special Thursday shows. All shows start at 7 pm, tickets are $15.00 on sale at the door. Tickets can be reserved but must be picked up by 6:30 pm. General seating only, specific seats are not reserved. For more info contact: Woodwalk at (920) 868-2912, or Jeanne at (920) 495-2928, www.jeannekuhns.com.
